About Text Diff
Text diff (or text comparison) identifies the differences between two versions of text. This is commonly used in version control systems, code review, and document comparison.
Comparison Modes
- Lines: Compares text line by line, ideal for code and structured content
- Words: Compares word by word, useful for prose and documentation
- Characters: Compares character by character, for detailed analysis
View Options
- Split view: Shows original and modified text side by side
- Unified view: Shows changes in a single view with +/- indicators
